Our Hygiene department is dedicated to take care of patients with modern technology. Our Hygienist, Andrea and Ellyn, have more then 20 years experience each. They're dedicated to provide excellent preventative and treatment care.
Gum disease (Periodontal disease) has different stages. It starts with gingivitis, which if treated is reversible. If this stage is passed then we go to periodontal disease which requires more trearment.
Of course the best treatment is always prevention. That is why we recommend a minimum of 6 month visits. However for patients that have pre existing periodontal problems, the treatment is available. There are non-surgical procedures, like scaling, root planning and also placing antibacterial agents. If more extensive treatment is needed, we can provide a surgical phase that is to place flap tissue, then scaling the roots or placing bone graft or tissue grafts from other parts of the mouth.
Dr. Askari has more then 20 years of experience for all these procedures with surgical skills. He has done many courses to provide these services. If more specialty help is needed we have an oral surgeon on staff. He can perfom all these procedures with out the hassle of referring out of the office.
