If you are missing a tooth or several teeth an implant(s) may be the choice for you. Implants are a tooth replacement that mimics the structure of a natural tooth. A metal post is placed beneath your gum line and it fuses to the bone acting as the root of a tooth. Afterwards a crown is placed on the metal post to replicate the natural tooth structure. Implants can also be used to help retain dentures. Implants are made to look and feel like a natural tooth.
Implants however may not be an option for everyone. Patients must have healthy gums, adequate bone structure to support the implant and overall good health. Our dentist, Dr. Askari, would be happy to evaluate you to see if you are a good candidate for an implant. We also have an oral surgeon that comes to our office who can perform the surgical portion of the implant. This makes getting an implant both easy and convenient for our patients. If you are not a good candidate for implants, we would be happy to discuss other tooth replacement options including fixed bridges and removable partials.
