Restorative Dentistry

Missing teeth can negatively impact oral comfort, function, and appearance, and may contribute to serious health complications. Restorative dentistry can fix damaged or missing teeth. At Eberhardt dentistry we will work with you to determine your best options for restoring your missing teeth and/or rebuilding and restoring damaged tooth structure.

We offer a wide range of options to give you a healthy smile.

Tooth Colored Fillings

An attractive alternative to silver fillings are tooth-colored composite resins. You can update your old silver fillings easily at our office. Tooth-colored composite fillings more esthetic, as we can mix colors to match the color of your teeth.

Crowns

CEREC Crowns

We design, fit, and place your crowns in just one appointment. No more need for messy impressions or temporary crowns! Once a crown is placed, you care for it as you do your natural teeth. Do you have cracked, broken, decayed, or worn teeth and want a younger, healthier looking smile? We use dental crowns, also called “caps” to return structure, strength, and function to a tooth with extensive decay, large fillings or damage.

Repair of Cracked Teeth

You may not even know it but if you feel a sharp pain when you bite down, you may have a cracked tooth. Dr. Eberhardt will decide on the best treatment for your specific condition. Depending on the size and location of the crack, treatment may be anything from a filling, to an onlay, to a crown or even root canal treatment. A severely cracked tooth may not be able to be restored and need to be extracted and then plan for the restoration of that space.

Dental Implants

Dental Implants provide the closest possible alternative to a natural tooth. They can improve your smile and your lifestyle. They look, feel, and function like your natural teeth. If we decide you are a candidate for an implant, the result is a healthy smile as well as enjoy restored chewing function!

Bridges

A bridge contains one or more teeth in a row to serve as a replacement for those that you are missing. The result will be a natural looking, and functional replacement for the missing part of your smile. If the teeth on either side of the space are not healthy enough to support a crown, we may suggest dental implants as an alternative. Patients who are missing many teeth may benefit from a partial denture.

Partial Dentures

Another alternative are partial dentures which can replace multiple missing teeth. The replacement teeth are attached to pink (gum colored) acrylic, which is supported by a metal frame. Today, in some cases, the entire partial can be made of an aesthetic, flexible, comfortable acrylic.

Dentures

If you’ve lost all of your natural teeth, complete dentures can replace your missing teeth and create an amazing smile. Without support from the denture, facial muscles sag, making a person look older. Even if you wear full dentures, you still must take good care of your mouth. Brush your gums, tongue and palate every morning with a soft-bristled brush before you insert your dentures to stimulate circulation in your tissues and help remove plaque.
