Progressive Muscle Relaxation

This is a shortened version of a Progressive Muscle Relaxation exercise that we do in the office. Progressive Muscle Relaxation is used to help increase body awareness, and overall relaxation. Practicing the exercises regularly help decrease stress and tension in the body and help one to become more aware of where stress is held in the body. Typically stress is held in the shoulder, neck area, back areas. This is why people find it common that they "pull their back out" or get lower back pain when extremely stressed. This short audio led exercise is meant for children, though adults may benefit from it as well.

Simple Breathing

Simple breathing is an introduction to proper breathing. This exercise is designed for children but adults can benefit as well. Proper breathing is important for overall health and wellness, but especially important for reducing anxiety and managing stress.
