Hello Arbor Desert Sun Pediatric Families!

We wanted to take this time to thank you for your patience and understanding over the last few
weeks. We have moved to a new electronic medical records system and have been busy behind the scenes training to better serve our families. We apologize for the long wait times, inability to
schedule appointments as easily as in the past, and difficulty connecting with your providers. We will be back up and running at full capacity very soon and ask you to “stick with us!” just a little bit longer. We promise it will be worth it.

We want to keep you updated regarding the RSV shot (Beyfortus).

  • As you may have heard, there is a national shortage of Beyfortus and our supply is limited. We are trying our hardest to acquire as many doses as possible, but, for the foreseeable future, we do not have the
    number of doses we anticipated. We continue to attempt to place orders, to get as many doses as we can.
  • For now, we are trying to ensure that our most vulnerable, high risk patients receive the doses we do
    have.     This will include those with high risk medical conditions (like lung or heart disease), babies born prematurely, and newborns up to 2 months of age.
  • Many insurance companies will cover the cost of the shot. However, some are not. We always
    recommend that you call your insurance provider to check if the shot is covered. If your child does get the
    shot, we’ll bill your insurance. If your plan doesn’t cover it, or if you pay out-of-pocket, your cost will be $650.
