Dr. Patel is a Board Certified Pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Originally from Michigan, she moved to Scottsdale in 1998 with her husband. Dr. Patel graduated from Albion College and Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine. She then went on to do her pediatric training at the University of Michigan Medical School and subsequently spent a year as chief resident in pediatrics. In 1994, she began practicing pediatrics in Michigan and was recognized in 1996 as one of southwest Michigan’s “Top Docs.” In 1998, Dr. Patel began practicing medicine in Phoenix and in 2002 she opened Desert Sun Pediatrics with Dr. Manny De Lucca. She has been recognized by Phoenix Magazine as one of the Valley’s “Top Docs” of 2002 and 2004 and has also been named to the “Best Doctors in America.” Dr. Patel and her husband live with their cocker spaniels, Simi and Missy, and she enjoys hiking, tennis, cooking, traveling and discovering new restaurants. Dr. Patel was recognized as a Top Doctor for General Pediatrics in the “Best of Arizona Business Ranking 2008 Magazine.”
