We currently have several openings:

Medical Assistant (MA)
Our office has an opening for a proactive and positive Medical Assistant who will provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the Nursing Manager and Physician. This position will review patient immunization status, administer shots, room patients, take vitals, prepares exam rooms, and other responsibilities as directed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or completion of high school or equivalent
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year as a MA, pediatric experience preferred
  • Certifications/Licensure: Current MA certification and CPR preferred

RN/LPN
Our office has an opening for a RN/LPN who will provide direct nursing care to infant, toddler, preschool age or adolescent patients experiencing general medical conditions. This position will coordinate with the health care team, provide direct and indirect patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, professional standards of care, state regulations, and accreditation standards. Understands Partners in Pediatrics philosophy, policies and procedures and immunization practices. This position requires the ability to keep up with our fast-paced practice.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a LPN/RN, pediatric experience preferred
  • Certifications/Licensure: Current Alabama LPN/RN license required, BLS and CPR preferred

Front Office Support Position Available
Our office has a position available for a front office support staff member that will contribute to our practice by having a professional attitude and appearance, while maintaining the ability to keep up with our fast-paced practice. This incumbent will welcome patients, schedule appointments, complete patient registration information, collect and balance payments, answer high volume calls, and assist with various related support work.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year experience in a medical office, pediatrics preferred
  • Experience with MediSYS Practice Management & EHR Software
  • High school diploma

Accounting Assistant/Bookkeeper
Partners in Pediatrics is hiring for a full-time or part-time (24-40 hours a week) Accounting Assistant responsible for bookkeeping, financial, administrative and business functions of the practice. The Accounting Assistant has a strong working knowledge of accounting principles, Quick Books, and medical practice operations with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Three years of accounting and financial experience using QuickBooks
  • Excellent computer skills (QuickBooks, Excel, Word)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have at least three business-related references.

Preferred: 

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • Experience in health care or medical practice administration
  • Knowledge of coding and billing practices in medical offices, particularly pediatrics.

Skills/Duties:

  • Responsible for the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions of the practice including the coding and data entry of accounts payable invoices.
  • Assists in the preparation of financial and production reports.
  • Assists with collecting data for various purposes associated with the business mission of the practice, including but not limited to inventory, HIPAA and OSHA reporting.
  • Assists with processing checks for payment.
  • Tracks and schedules billing and invoices both incoming bills and outgoing
  • Responsible for the reconciliation of all bank, credit card, and cash accounts.
  • Assists the Practice with meeting scheduling/preparation, production reports, special projects, and other tasks as needed. 
  • Responsible for providing administrative support to the Practice.
