Well Child Care

The cornerstone of pediatrics is well child care. These regular visits provide us the ability to monitor your child's growth and development. We believe these routine exams are critical and we follow the schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Newborn Care Services

Your newborn will typically come for his or her first office visit 2-3 days after being discharged from the hospital. Your baby may be followed for additional visits in the first few weeks of life depending on how he or she does with feeding, weight gain, jaundice, and other aspects of newborn health.

Developmental Screening

Partners in Pediatrics standardized screening tools at various ages of early childhood to aid in identifying children with potential developmental delays. This allows for early detection and improved outcomes for patients who may require additional services.

Depression Screening

We use a standardized screening tool to assess our adolescent patients from ages 12-18 years of age for depression.

Sick Visits Services

We have same day appointments available at both locations for your child for acute illnesses. After hours, a physician is always on call and can be reached through our answering service by calling the office.

Immunization Services

Our practice believes that all children should receive the recommended vaccines according to the guidelines provided by the AAP and the CDC.

Vision & Hearing Services

Vision and hearing disorders are often difficult to detect, especially in young children. Our office performs certain screens for vision and hearing to determine if a referral may be necessary.

Adolescent Services

Adolescent care is started at age 12 and teens are seen annually for wellness checks. During these visits, your teen will be encouraged to start becoming more independent with his or her own health. We follow adolescents until their 19th birthday.

Nurse Line Services

Our nurse line is available during normal office hours at 334-272-1799, option 5. This service is for questions you may have about your child's health and for advice regarding minor medical issues. This line is not intended for routine questions that can be asked during your visits to our office or to schedule appointments.

Blue Slips & Prescriptions

Call 334-272-1799, option 4 to request a blue slip or a prescription refill. Be sure to allow 1 to 2 business days for processing. It is important to call prior to your medication running low.

After Hours Services

Our physicians are on-call after normal business hours through our on-call system. The on-call system will route your message to the nurse or physician on-call. We are committed to providing 24/7 access for medical advice and care for our patients.

Lab Services

We have in-house laboratory testing that allows our pediatricians to get test results quicker, allowing our patients to receive the necessary treatments and medications faster. For lab tests not available in our offices, we can collect samples and send the specimens to outside laboratories for analysis. We will provide instructions for outside lab work at the time of service.

Dietary / Nutrition Guidance

We recognize the challenges that families may face in maintaining healthy diets and weights. In order to address these issues we can provide assessments or referral as necessary.

Asthma Services

Asthma is the most common childhood chronic illness and at Partners in Pediatrics, we believe in taking a hands-on approach to help our patients and families. Our staff members are highly trained in asthma education and treatment.

Attention Deficit Disorder/Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD/ADHD)

ADD/ADHD are common childhood disorders and can continue through adolescence and adulthood. Partners in Pediatrics provides treatment and management for these conditions.

Minor Procedures & Treatments

Suture placement and removal- Our staff offers extensive experience in suturing wounds, removing stitches and staples and can provide wound care.

Care Coordination & Referral Services

Most managed care insurance plans require referrals from your primary care physicians before your child can be seen by a participating specialist. Our policy is to process referrals in a timely manner. Our Referral Specialist is available during business hours Monday through Friday.

School & Sports Physicals

Your child will require many forms to be filled out over the years. Should your child's school, camp or sports program require a physician form, please provide us the form with your portion filled out completely. Because of the volume of forms we process, this will help facilitate a rapid return. Forms should reach our office AT LEAST TWO WEEKS PRIOR to the time you need them returned. Please allow extra time for completion of forms during high volume months (June, July, August, and September).

Language Assistance Services

We respect our patients' right to receive information in a manner he or she understands. We offer interpretation and translation services, free of charge, for our patients with limited English proficiency. Click here for available Interpretation Services.
