Expecting Parents

Congratulations

Having a baby is one of the most important times of your life. We understand the importance of choosing the right pediatrician and the right pediatric office for your family.

Upon Arrival

When your baby is born, simply tell your obstetrician and the hospital staff that you have chosen Partners in Pediatrics for your baby's care. Currently, Partners in Pediatrics is affiliated with Baptist Medical Center East & Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, AL. Our practice accepts newborn from other hospitals as well.

Our office will be notified of your baby's birth by the hospital staff and we look forward to greeting you both soon. Upon discharge, please contact us within one week to schedule your baby's first visit. To expedite your first visit, please have your New Patient Forms filled out and completed prior to the time of your appointment. You have the option of printing out the appropriate paperwork or getting it from our office. If you elect to obtain the paperwork from our office the day of your first appointment, we ask that you arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your appointment in order to provide sufficient time to complete the paperwork before your actual appointment time. We also ask that newborn parents bring any discharge paperwork from the hospital or NICU to your newborn's first appointment.

Insurance

Click here for a list of our accepted insurance plans.

It is highly recommended that your insurance provider be contacted as soon as possible after your newborn arrives. Most health plans allow 30 days to add your newborn to your insurance plan. After 30 days, if the newborn is not listed under the insurance policy we have on file, you will be responsible for all charges unless otherwise corrected with our office. Even though your newborn will not yet be listed under the insurance, please still be sure to bring your insurance card with you to your newborn's first appointment. If you have Medicaid and you have not received your Medicaid card before your first appointment, please be sure to bring the "Unborn Medicaid" paper containing your newborn's Medicaid number.

Reminder for ALL new patients and newborns: If you do not bring your insurance card or number to the appointment, it could delay your appointment or you will be asked to reschedule your appointment.
