Dr. Trisha Fluckiger
Dr. Trisha Fluckiger grew up in nearby Lincoln, Illinois. She attended the Illinois Math and Science Academy in Aurora, Illinois for high school.
She attended Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Lynchburg, Virginia for two years before earning a double-major Bachelor of Arts degree in physics and Russian from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri in 2002. She took additional undergraduate coursework at the University of Illinois Springfield and Lincoln-Land Community College. She then attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Dr. Fluckiger worked for Benton and Associates in Jacksonville, Illinois in civil engineering, focusing on water and wastewater engineering.
She married Dr. Christopher Maurer in December 2009, and together they built Maurer Family Dental. Following his death in 2012, she returned to school to become a dentist. She was inspired by Dr. Maurer’s dedication to the career of dentistry and the satisfaction he gained from treating patients.
Dr. Fluckiger graduated cum laude from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in 2017. She enjoys continuing Dr. Maurer’s legacy at Maurer Family Dental and helping each patient that she encounters.
Dr. Fluckiger is a member of the GV Black Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS), and the American Dental Association (ADA).
Dr. Fluckiger resides in Springfield with her husband John, son Peter, and Chocolate Labrador Bella, and enjoys her time outside the office playing dinosaurs and going for long walks.
