Sleep Apnea

Do you snore? If yes, you should know that snoring is not just annoying, it can be a sign of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). OSA is a condition caused by obstruction near the base of the tongue.

The real indication – and danger – of sleep apnea isn't snoring; it's when snoring stops. When you stop snoring, you also stop breathing. Sleep apnea can cause you to stop breathing for periods of time, sometimes hundreds of times during the night and often for a minute or longer.

Dr. Jeff Harris can treat OSA with a variety of oral appliances. The custom made oral appliance gently and safely holds the mouth and throat in an open position during sleep, preventing snoring and helping you breath comfortably.

Dr. Harris prescribes a variety of oral appliances including Tap I and Glidewell.
