Extraction Site Preservation

When a tooth must be removed, it is important to consider what will be done with the empty space after that tooth is removed. With the exception of wisdom teeth, other teeth need to be replaced. Failing to do so,  may create problems in your bite, periodontal issues, and affect your ability to speak and chew. 

The "space" left after a tooth has been removed may be corrected with an implant, a fixed bridge, or a removable partial denture. Your dentist can examine your situation and recommend the best treatment.
